This year’s Silicon Valley Bike Summit will be a treat for new and returning guests. Hosted by City of Mountain at the city’s newly remodeled Community Center and presented by Jump Electric Bike Share, we are so pleased to bring you the 9th Annual Silicon Valley Bike Summit on August 1. Exciting new activities this year:
- Pop-up protected bike lane on California Street between Caltrain and the Community Center
- Interactive demos with e-bikes, e-scooters, and more
- Mountain View bike ride tour during breakout sessions (limited space)
- Bike ride after the event on the pop-up bike lane to Mountain View’s Thursday Night Live open streets event on Castro Street between Mercy and Villa, including a bike rodeo and other transportation activities

- Vision Zero and El Camino Real: El Camino Real has a higher rate of collisions than other streets in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. Learn what Caltrans, Redwood City, and local stakeholders are doing about it.
- Advocacy and City Planning Processes: how do you make an impact on bureaucracy? Learn from city and county officials how to engage in the processes and what to push for as well as local advocates who have been successful.
- Safe Routes to School Collaboration: Effective Safe Routes to School programs require collaboration across agencies, groups, and ages. Hear from leaders in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties and how to break down barriers to get more kids biking and walking.
